CSE and ME are entirely different with CSE comprising scientific and engineering aspects of computing and designing automated machine systems and intelligent bots. Vellore Institute of Technology has a higher ranking, better faculty members and a reputation in the educational world. In VIT whatever the campus, the only branch that's good for placements is CSE. BCA offer a solid platform for the career in the field of technology, but it is strongly recommended that a student should opt for MCA to further his prospects in this competitive world. BCA is a good course, but it is simply a Bachelor’s degree and not much importance is given by both private and government organizations, especially when compared to a B.Tech course.

Ankit, Although BCA and B Tech are graduate programs, both are entirely different streams of study. Bachelor of Computer Application is concerned with software designing, data base management and operational functions with the help of multifaceted data within a computer.

No, you first qualify GATE then you can take admission in ME or M.Tech in reputed institutes. But there are some low private colleges to which you can apply for ME. But the thing is you will not get a stipend.

I appreciate your interest in becoming a cyber security engineer. For the same, you can pursue computer science and engineering. Alongside, you can pursue CISCO certified networking courses and then opt for certified Ethical hacking courses. <p>According to the placement data of 2025, a total of 242 offers were made for BTech CSE and 167 students were placed. There were 202 offers made for Information Science branch and 157 students were placed. For AI &amp; ML specialisation, 137 offers were made and 91 students were placed. Thus, BTech CSE placement records can be considered above average in BMSCE.</p>

Average salary of MCA grads is marginally lesser in comparison to B.Tech CSE who are paid the best because of their superior computing skills. Salary offered to Generic MCA grads is similar to MCA with specialisation as Clould Computing, etc.

<p>The placements in BTech CSE department are better. The average package is around 3.30 Lacs per annum. Many companies have visited the institute and recruited its students. This includes companies like Infosys, Wipro, HSBC, Deloitte, Vivo and many other companies. The average package for BTech ECE is comparitively low around 2 Lacs per annum.</p>
