No, you can't get lateral entry in B.Com after Diploma. You can only get admission in B.Tech if you want to take admission via lateral entry.

The curriculum of BTech is more career oriented, which is divergent to a theory-based course. B.Com on the other hand, is a Bachelor's degree in Commerce. It is similar to B Tech because it is an undergraduate academic degree, except that its focus is more Commerce related.

Winners Never Quit.......,

In both courses, there is no placement in average colleges. So, your decision will depend upon which course you are going to do after Bachelor. If you are thinking about MBA then BBA will be beneficial, If you are planning to go with B.Ed or M.Com then go for B.Com.
All the best.

Give first preference to Academic professional qualification to study in regular mode and do CA and ICWA both along with.
If you are planning to do MBA in distance mode, pursue all 3 in same time as subjects match with one another.
Some companies asks alone the qualifications and some asks either any of the qualifications.

According to best of my knowledge, I would like to suggest you that Both BBA and B.Com have their own merits. It depends entirely on your interest before choosing either of the courses. If making a career in management is your priority then you should go for BBA as it is the foundation of management and has been specifically designed for MBA aspirants. B.Com on the other hand, is much more diversified and has a wider scope for specialisation for post-graduate study. Thus, it is advisable to first chalk out your skills, aptitude and area of interest before taking up any of the courses. Instead of looking at the money making aspect while cho... View more
