student's counselor,

You can do BBA but I would recommend you that you should do it from Madras University as it has more value than Annamalai university and as both Annamalai and Madras University will offer you distance education degree but I doubt about the age criteria of Annamalai University. Moreover, you can get admission in BBA at Madras University easily and the degree of BBA in Madras University is of the same value as of regular degree.

If you have done BCA, you qualify the eligibility criteria to opt for MCA and hence it hardly matters whether you were from science or commerce background.

Hi,
Precisely BCA is a degree course related to computer field and B.Com is related to commerce field. Going forward, if you would like to make your career in the IT field then it's obvious BCA is a better option. Whereas, B.Com is also a degree course and designed for finance, account and commerce. I am not saying here someone can't choose IT as a career after B.Com but BCA will get more precedence in order to opportunity and scope. Some IT MNCs /companies they little choosy about the academy and they prefer science graduates, BCA.

There is no problem in applying but while applying they will require the final year mark sheet too. Since you are applying for the Jan intake your results might come out by then. So, it's better if you apply once your results have come out. Or you can apply early and let the University know that you are a final year student and ask them for the procedure.
All the best.
