Basically, ATIT is the exam to get admission in ICFAI engineering courses. Now, the name is ITSAT. If you able to score more then you have definitely a chance to get IFHE the main branch of ICFAI group. I am also doing engineering from The ICFAI University, Dehradun. The fees structure is affordable, and hence I decided to choose here. Talking about scope in engineering line, I would like to say that it will depend totally on you. Yes, there is campus placement, but you should have potential to achieve. Talking about the difficulty level, it is same as that of other competitive exams (I didn't appear for it, but I checked it earlier).

If you are not succeeding in clearing ssc CGL in 5 years. it means either you are not preparing whole heartedly or you are not apt for this examination…so it's my sincere advice to you.please shift your focus towards other state/central level examinations…and see which examination you can easily crack according to your ability…

There are two sections: Static GK and current affairs. If you want to know important sections, I believe Modern history, polity, miscellaneous and current affairs from January months to CLAT are important. However, this list is merely indicative.
You should take regular mock tests and solve previous years question papers. One mock test each day will help you in revising your concepts apart from building your confidence.
The following books are highly recommended by the experts:
1. Pratiyogita Darpan
2. GK Today
3. Manorama Year Book
4. Pearsons Concise GK
