Hello Bhargavi A, it's quite tough to compare branches within two different colleges. This is so since no unbiased agency exists to do this. When any of the counselor like me does it, question of bias can always crop up. My suggestion is you should go by convenience of commuting to college from your home town, their overall ranking, availability of hostel facilities etc. Frankly speaking what happens after four years is any one's guess. What is good today may turn bad and what is not so good can do better after four years. Best wishes to you.

Your scores are good and with a strong SOP and recommendation letters I am pretty sure you can be considered for admissions. Please however remember that MS admissions are very selective in Canada. Yes, you can get BTech thorough Lateral Entry in CSE. Many colleges do offer lateral Entry and many colleges don't. Just research into which college you would like to go and get admitted and accordingly fill out their form. Some also conduct entrance exam and some colleges take direct admission. It depends on two things first it depends on the state you are living in as the cutoff of IPU is divided into 2 parts Delhite students and non-Delhite. Usually, the Delhite students get higher preference as there is an 85% quota for Delhi students reserved in IPU. Secondly, it depends on the category you belongs to if you are a general category student then it is very difficult to get in IPU. But I will suggest you to attend the spot counselling as there is a huge chance of selection through spot counselling.
