In SRM, CSE has more scope than biotechnology. In SRM, placements are not good for biotechnology it's like passion course in SRM. But CSE is very good here, in fact, they have increased the no. of seats in SRM this year, it has a very good placement record. So if you want to sit for placement after graduation then take up CSE.
Admission totally depends on the cut-off set by the college. You rank or score must lie in line with the closing rank or score.
Only way to do B.Tech CSE at IIT Kharagpur is to crack JEE Mains and JEE Advanced examination. You may try your luck next time if you want to do B.Tech CSE in IIT Kharagpur only, else you can seek admission in some other prestigious engineering college.

Your marks in JEE doesn't really assure you to get a seat into NIT Hamirpur. You still have some other best universities you can apply for. Just give it some extra effort this time. The chances of getting computer science is very less so I will not give you any false hopes. Also there is not much which could be done about college. I would suggest to opt for computer science in any state level engineering colleges. There you might get a seat.
Hello Sanjay, Getting into US is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing year. On the other hand, Australia sends it's mission twice a year in India to promote colleges there. I feel that due to this reason you should select to go to Australia.
Seeing present scenario, computer science is far better than aerospace engineering in India. For aerospace, only service based companies are there to work and salary can never satisfy you.
Aerospace engineering requires a lot more analytical skills than computer science.
If a person is really interested in aerospace engineering and he is confident that he'll be the best engineer then only he should opt for aerospace engineering and after graduation, he must go for higher studies then only aerospace engineering can be beneficial.
