You can pursue B.Tech or BE. You can also opt for music/acting courses in from any of the top Institutes FTII, Pune or NSD. You can pursue BCA if you have a keen interest in computer science or VFX if you want to make your career in the animation field.

As these are private institute, they don't really give scholarship to students. But check with AAFT, they might have something to offer you.

There is nothing called placements when it comes to the film industry. You may get into acting and then try out theatre after that, but there is no guarantee of getting a break into a full-fledged film or something. Polish your acting skills and be the best and rest everything will depend upon your luck.

Your parents are right at their place. The uncertainty to get acting projects are actually the matter of concern. Unless and until, you are very dedicated about this field and ready to give your 200%, then only enter into it.
Yes, there are entrance exams conducted by various acting schools. However, if you wish to be the best, then appear for FTII - Pune entrance exam and clear it. The chances of getting work after graduating from there are more than any other institute.
