To get in top IIM's say A-B-C, you should score above 99 percentile. For XAT again you should have scored about 95 percentile. In IIM's academic background is also an essential factor. Good luck!

Yes, you can if you have interest in soil, plant and machine research etc. It is a very multi tasking field and has a very good scope. Thus, you can go for it.
