Aliah University does have seat reservation for students belonging from the special category. The seat reservation policy is as per the government of the state for special category candidates. Around 4 % of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the PC/PwD category and 5% of seats fall under the disability reservation. Aliah University admission process is based on the entrance exam: Aliah University Admission Test. Direct admission to the BA programme is not available as per the admission guidelines of the university's admission officials. Candidates must qualify for the AUAT exam to get admission to the BA course.
The exam is conducted by Aliah University, Kolkata to offer students admission into the BA programme. AUAT is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper test) and the duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours. Candidates have to register themselves online on the official website of Aliah University to fill out the AUAT application
