Amity University is the big world of many small and big departments and institutes wherein various courses are run successfully, whereas, Amity School of Engineering and Technology is the core engineering department where multiple programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech and B.Tech+M.Tech are held successfully throughout the year.

For Polytechnic 2nd year admission, a candidate must have done ITI of 2 years. Then, there is a chance of admission through lateral entry.
But, I'll prefer you to go through the normal students as a direct entry as in this college is no importance for the lateral entry students.

Placements: Amity has a great placement record and I am sure seniors and my batch members will have good placements, the percentage of students were placed at 80%, the highest salary offered 12 is LPA, the lowest salary offered is 4 LPA and the average salary offered is 7 LPA.
The companies are Sun Pharma, Ranbaxy, etc.
Internship:
Yes, our college provides the internship. In our first year, internships were provided inside the campus in which all the students were given a topic by there faculty guide and they had to prepare a research paper on that.

Amity has a great infrastructure and very helping faculty as well.
Teachers are very cooperative and helping for students.
Amity has great facilities of libraries and labs and personal cabins as well.

No, actually with this score its bit difficult for you to get admission in top colleges. So its better to try with your State entrance. Also some colleges won't accept 45% marks. They keep criteria as 50% and above.

Yes, you can. Mechanical engineering offers the foundation for many of the specializations like automobile engineering, mechatronics, etc.
So, you can easily opt for M.Tech automobile engineering after pursuing B. Tech In mechanical engineering.

I don't think you will get admission in Amity University as they look for students who have a higher percentage of at least 60% or above, but you can surely contact them personally because they may have some opportunities open for you.
