AFCAT exam is conducted to select Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The exam is conducted twice a year-February and August/September. The exam for the February session is conducted for admission to the courses commencing in January. The exam for the August/September session is conducted for admission to the courses commencing in July. AFCAT selection process comprises online test and AFSB interview. Candidates must check the syllabus for General Awareness section. They should make a study schedule. Candidates must attempt mock tests. They should read newspapers. Candidates must learn current affairs questions of last six months.

Candidates are required to follow social distancing in the exam centre
There will be a gap between two seats
Ropes will be put outside the exam centre such that only 20 girls and 20 boys are given entry at a time
Markings will be made on the floor to ensure that candidates maintain social distancing while in the queue
All candidates must fill the self-declaration form before going to the exam centre
The staff will check the body temperature of the candidates using the thermal gun
Candidates will have to sanitise/wash their hands before entering the examination hall
