The air hostess is also known as a flight attendant. They have the responsibility of ensuring the comfort and safety of travelers. The qualifications to become an air hostess are as follows:
1. Academic requirements: the applicant must have passed 12th standard or higher.
2. Height: Females must be at least 157 cm tall, while males must be at least 170 cm tall. The weight of applicants must be in proportion to their height. Some airlines require a minimum vision of 6/6.
3.The minimum age is 18 years old.
4. Other qualifications: The applicant must have speaking fluency, particularly in English . Tattoos are not allowed in visible areas, and physical fitness is very important. The selection of airhostesses is done on the basis of a Personal Interview and a pleasant personality can give you an edge.

Yes, you can get scholarship while doing CPL course from reputed Government Flying Schools. The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment provides Scholarships to 17 SC candidates on MERIT CUM MEANS BASIS under Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of TOP Class Education for SC students each year. The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment provides Approximately Rs.2200/- per month towards boarding & lodging expenses whereas the Boarding lodging and other expenses is approximately Rs 10000/- per month, therefore, the Balance of expenditure is to be borne by the candidates. Some State Governments provide scholarship to reserve category candidates of their states. Concerned flying school can only forward the application to the respective State Governments. The candidates may approach their State Governments for the same.
