Mechanical engineering is a good field itself. Do not fluctuate your mind to and fro, otherwise you cannot get good opportunities in your mechanical field.

If you complete mechanical engineering with good marks and knowing its concepts passionately, it itself allows you to go in aviation sector.

You can get a job in airlines after doing B.Tech in CSE or ECE and for civil engineering I don't think the airlines have any provision that much. But mostly the airlines conduct exams and they have personal interviews.

The airport authority recruits through a regular recruitment process. For this you need to keep yourself updated about the government openings into the sector. If you want to join any private airline as an air hostess, than in that case you have to apply separately into the private airlines and go through their recruitment process.
