To become an Aircraft Mechanic or an Aviation Technician, one gas to undergo three years AME course after completion of 10+2 with physics & mathematics. These courses are conducted by many institutions in India. In some places, there is entrance exam while at others admission is based on marks obtained in 12th exam. Once eligible, a student can select either of the two streams of mechanical or avionics. Merely passing the course does not make one eligible to work on the aircraft straight away. For taking admissions in UPES B.Tech programmes, you have to appear for its entrance exam.
The cutoff is dynamic each year. It is usually declared after the JEE cutoff.
Register yourself for the entrance and after the entrance results, you may know your eligibility.
