Academic Qualification for Primary Stage (Class 1st to Class 5th)
Individuals should have any one of the following qualifications in order to fulfill CTET Eligibility. They are given below:
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education or
Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. EI. Ed) or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
Academic Qualification for Elementary Stage (Class 6 to 8)
The educational qualification required for appearing in CTET 2019elementary stage is given below. Candidates having any one of these qualifications will be eligible for the exam. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education B.Ed or
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education B.Ed in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. EI. Ed) or
Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or

The organizing body will look at some other factors too for the purpose of recruitment of teachers. These qualifications will not be essential requirements but will give applicants a better chance to secure a job in a good school. They are listed below:
A degree or Diploma in teacher education which must be recognised by NCTE. For a Diploma in Education, the programs recognised by RCI will be considered.

The eligibility criteria of B.Ed distance education course is elaborated below: -
The applicants must have at least 50% marks in Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Arts, Science, Commerce and Engineering streams in order to apply for distance B.Ed course. Candidates who wish to take up distance B.Ed must be trained in-service teachers in elementary education. Candidates who have completed teacher education programme recognised by NCTE in a face-to-face mode are also eligible to apply. Candidates who have at least two years of teaching experience in primary or upper primary schools can also take up distance B.Ed course. Yes, you are eligible. It is 2 years duration course.
