If a candidate wishes to become lecturer or Assistant Professor in the field of Education, he must not only be a B.Ed but also a M.Ed. Candidates must also have a doctoral degree or NET qualification which is preferred by most of the colleges. B.Ed qualification is required only by the schools but for college level teaching, candidates must have a postgraduate in Education course.
