B.Ed is a professional course offered at KJSSED that is meant only for teaching purposes. The graduates can teach the same or related subjects to their core specialisation at the graduation/post-graduation level. The basic aim of the B.Ed. course is to make the candidate proficient in the structured way of teaching. How the topic is to be introduced, developed, and finally, feedback as to how much students have understood.

The total number of seats offered by KJ Somaiya School of Education for B.Ed course is 100. To get a seat in the programme, candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50% or above marks either in the bachelor's degree/ or in the master's degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce Subjects from any UGC recognised University of India.

Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology with specialisation in Science/ Mathematics/ Pharmacy/ Law / Management/ Fine Arts/ Performing Arts must have a minimum of 55% aggregate and above.
