CTET Central Teacher Eligibility Test:-The CTET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year. It is a mandatory exam for those who wish to become teachers in schools that are affiliated with the CBSE. NET National Eligibility Test: - NET is conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is mandatory for those who wish to teach at the collegiate level. CSIR UGC NET CSIR UGC NET is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It is mandatory for those who wish to teach at the collegiate level. TET (Teacher Eligibility Test):-TET is conducted by both state and central governments in order to recruit teachers for government schools. It is mandatory for those who wish to become teachers. KVS Exam (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan)-: KVS Exam is conducted by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) every year. It is mandatory for those who wish to become teachers in KVS schools. Thus, these are some of the entrance exams which are required to be cleared in order to become a teacher in India. Apart from this, one also needs to have a Bachelors degree in education or any other relevant field. Those who wish to teach at the collegiate level need to clear NET or CSIR UGC NET. And finally, one also needs to clear the TET or any other state-level teaching eligibility test.

Candidates with at least 50 percent Marks either in Bachelor Degree and /or in Master Degree in Science/ Social Sciences/ Humanities, Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% Marks or any other qualification equivalent to this, are eligible for admission to the programme. However, Sc, St, OBC, special backward classes as well as physically challenged and a widow or divorcee women candidates of Rajasthan securing a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the Bachelors /Masters Degree level examination will be eligible to apply for admission. No relaxation in the minimum percentage (not even 1 mark) as required above will be given to any candidate. Candidates who have passed graduation through a correspondence course from any University by taking only one University examination or have not studied through the 10+2+3 scheme or 10+1+3 (old scheme) are not eligible.
