As per the 2013-2014 AICTE guidelines, students who have obtained a B.Sc. degree with at least 45 per cent marks and who have passed class 12 with mathematics as a subject are eligible. B.Tech is a better option as it is a professional degree/ course where as B.Sc is not professional but it is a simple degree.
These days we have many branches available for B.Tech. Some of them are there for long like ECE, CSE, EE, Mech., Civil etc but with passage of time the impact of technology has increased due to which many new branches have come up like Biotech, Food tech., Nanotech, Agri., Mechanatronics etc.
Many reputed private universities are offering these courses so you can check the details of these universities like Amity, Lovely, Sharda etc.
Goodluck.

Students can pursue microbiology at the graduate level after choosing to study Biology at the +2 level. After B.Sc. Microbiology graduates can pursue higher studies like M. Sc in Applied microbiology, Medical microbiology, Food microbiology, Industrial microbiolog
