Yes, the BSc fee at St. Xavier's College Ranchi is slightly different depending on the student category. Students from General and BC-II categories usually pay a little higher fee compared to students belonging to ST, SC, BC-I, and Momin categories. The difference is generally around INR 1,000 annually. This fee structure follows the state's reservation and support policies.

BSc MLT (Bachelor's degree) is better for long term career growth but DMLT (Diploma) is better for getting a job quickly.

You should choose DMLT if you want to work immediately, have budget or time constraints or want to start a technician job after class 12th.
Or, choose BSc MLT if you want a higher salary, better job options and also a deeper understanding.

Hope this helped solving doubt! All the best!

Actually, the degree you get from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi is officially awarded by Ranchi University, but it carries the college's own prestigious name. Because St. Xavier's is known for its high standards and strict rules, employers and other universities often respect a "Xaverian" student more. The quality of education and the training you get at St. Xavier's are usually more intense and modern compared to the standard university departments.

St. Xavier's College, Ranchi is considered one of the best for BSc because of its "Autonomous" status. Unlike many other local colleges, St. Xavier's sets its own updated syllabus and finishes exams on time. While other colleges might be cheaper, the discipline and the quality of teachers at St. Xavier's are better comparatively. It provides a more professional environment that helps students prepare better for advanced education and future careers.

While 340 seats sounds like a lot, BSc Physical Sciences is the most popular choice for students aiming for careers in Physics, Math, or Engineering-related fields. Because it attracts a massive number of applicants from all over Faridabad and nearby areas, the competition remains quite stiff. However, compared to the specialised Chemistry Major, you definitely have a statistically better chance of securing a spot here. It's a great option for students who want a broad foundation in Science without the extreme pressure of a tiny intake.
