Yes, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIIT Bhagalpur BTech programme are out now but the dates are tentative. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. The total fee for IIIT Bhagalpur BTech programme is INR 8.7 lakh. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year, hence is indicative. Students can apply to State/Central government Scholarships. Also the fee includes JEE Main application fee for BTech programme. The application fee are  INR 1,000 for boys and for girls, it is INR 800.

The selection to IIIT Bhagalpur BTech programme is based on the candidate’s JEE Main exam score followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) through which they are allotted a seat. The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. JoSAA registrations usually begin from the third week of June in online mode. However, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) manages the counselling process for the remaining vacant seats.

Candidates aspiring to enrol in the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 75% aggregate. Also, the candidate should have a valid rank in JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA at IIIT Kottayam for the BTech programme. Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Kottayam for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

No, candidates who haven’t taken the JEE-Main exam will not be entertained for the admission process at IIIT Kottayam. IIIT Kottayam inducts students through a valid rank in JEE-Main exam based on which they can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA at IIIT Kottayam for the BTech programme. Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Kottayam for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.

There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programme at IIIT Kottayam including BTech. IIIT Kottayam being a centrally funded technical institute just like all others IIIT’s across India follows the guidelines established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. For admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Kottayam, candidates need to qualify the JEE-Main exam. Candidates having their JEE-Main rank above the closing rank mentioned in the merit list released by IIIT Kottayam can apply for the counselling process through JoSAA for admission to the BTech programme.
