I also had the same query when my niece was planning to take admission. After lot of inquiry we finally took admission in LPU wherein we were told that BCA is of 3 years and B.Tech is of 4 years. Counsellors also mentioned that BCA is solely computer related whereas B Tech incorporates technical subjects along with computer applications. The former is a degree course whereas the latter is an engineering discipline. She highlighted that in order to develop the competency following will be offered in both cases:

When it comes to placement, I was shocked to hear that more than 700 companies visit every year to recruit students. Big brands such as Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, SAP Labs, Hitachi Power, Videocon, L&T Technology Services, Ericsson, HCL Technologies, Asahi India, Ceasefire Industries, Sandhar Technologies, Indus tower, Decathlon Sports, etc. After this, my cousin took admission B.Tech. I want to highlight that this year, the highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student MS Tanya Arora is 42 LPA for batch 2020 by Microsoft. Apart from above, some of the big recruiters are:

Dear Prince, Well, all universities perform well at their own ends but Lovely professional University is achieving its own Shine regularly at a higher pace be it academic, research, technology, exposures (both national and international), placements, accreditation, Curriculum Rigor and of course a conducive and diversified campus environment to live in. I stayed in LPU hostel during my post graduation years, and I had few friends from BCA course so I have idea about this course. Students learn about some interesting subjects like Mathematics, Computer Programming, Computer Networking, Database Management Systems and, Software Engineering. Besides the core compulsory subjects, students can choose from a wide variety of subjects as their pathway elective or minor elective. They told me their department have separate laboratories for all the domains: Programming Lab, Networking Lab, Systems and Architecture Lab, Databases Lab, Software, Engineering Lab. Although, choosing electives thoughtfully might not sound like a big deal in your first year. However, they make a huge difference to your career. For example, if you want to study further after BCA you can choose pathway electives like Artificial Intelligence, or if you are looking forward to adding more skills to your resume to find a good job, you can opt for pathway electives like Javascript, Front-End Web Development, App Development, etc. Students are involved in various live projects, They attended session on Android Apps development. The workshop was conducted by Er The School also organized 18 hours Workshop and Hands-on. Mayank Raj Jaiswal of Tech know Innovators, working as smartphone software development in Samsung R&D currently in South Korea Samsung headquarters. Department conducted one day workshop on Digital Electronics was also organized by school of computer applications where students of BCA were taken to the digital lab where they got the live exposure to working on the instruments and equipment used in digital electronics. Placements in LPU are good if you are a brilliant student and you have better ideas and projects with you. Internship experience also helps. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is between 9 LPA to 11 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, TCS and many other companies visit our campus for placements. But this is BCA that's why a lot of students think to do MCA from foreign universities. Thanks!
