Established in 1854, it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia. The College of Engineering in Pune has been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). It takes in B.Tech lateral entry students and has 8 different streams for engineering. There are also B.Planning  and M.Tech  across 13 streams.
