It is important to note that the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani does not have a B.Sc. Nursing programme for registration on the Common Admission Test. It is mainly concentration in engineering, science and management faculties. If you are pointing to another Birla College of Nursing then it must be noted that majority of the nursing colleges in India including the Birla Group of colleges demands minimum 50 percent marks in Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology for B. Admission to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) at Birla College of Nursing is not done based on any entrance exams. To be eligible for the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) at Birla College of Nursing, the candidate must have at least 40% marks in class 12th from any recognized board.

The admission starts after the May every year. Candidate have to appear in the JENPAUH examination. Selection and admission will be based on JENPAUH rank through online counseling.
Criteria:
- Passed two-year pre-university examination with physics, chemistry, Biology and English with minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General candidates and 40% or more aggregate marks for ST/SC and physically challenged candidates.
- Should have completed 17 years of age and not exceeding 28 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission
