It is advisable to score more than 80% marks in UG and more than 99 percentile to secure an interview call from IIMs. Please keep in mind for certain IIMs the CAT percentile cutoffs are as high as 99.5 and 99.67. Hence to get calls from all IIMs you will need to score more than 99,7 percentile in CAT. Also if you fail to secure more than 80% marks in UG, you will not be able to receive calls from certain IIMs.

PGDM course is such a way that you can specialize in any of the specializations such as operations, marketing, HR etc. PGDM general is a general PGDM wherein you don't specialize but do a general course as similar to general MBA. Regarding the CAT score, VJIM accepts almost all the exam scores. So you either need CAT score or MAT score or CMAT score. Any one of the score is enough.

Your profile qualify as per minimum eligibility criteria but the final selection shall be made on objective and leadership assessment (40% weightage), the candidate's past academic performance (15% weightage), work experience, if any (10% weightage), performance in face to face evaluation process (30 % weightage) and composite diversity index (5% weightage). Even your expected cat score looks good keeping last year's cut off in perspective.
I wish you all the best for the shortlist and I believe your work experience will come handy in the selection process if you'll deliver with confidence.

Hi Vishnu,
You should not wait for the results to apply to colleges. A lot of colleges close their applications before CAT results.
I suggest that if you are interested in one of the top MBA colleges in India, like the ones mentioned in earlier answer, you should apply for them now only. For others you can wait for some more time and depending upon your results you can apply for them.

Score at least more than 98.5% percentile to get into IIMs. Or more than 95% percentile to make into other top B-schools other than IIMs. Score more to increase your chances for admission.
