Since getting into IIMs is for a class which has millions of students, the average student is probably a 6 pointer. Well, 15% of IIM Calcutta Batch of 2019 are 6 pointers or worse. So, yes, IIM Calcutta has a lot of average students considering only academics. But then, 15% of the batch at IIM Calcutta are exceptions.

MNIT doesn't release any particular cutoffs for CAT MAT CMAT etc. Hence it is difficult to comment on the actual cutoffs. Having said that, I think a score of around 99percentile in MAT at least 82percentile in CAT and around 85percentile in CMAT will be safe to get calls for GDPI from MNIT.

Initially, you need to take the mock tests once or twice a week and with time you can increase the frequency of the mock tests to four or five times a week. Be confident and positive This is the most vital factor for those candidates who are preparing without any formal training or coaching
you can simply clear the CAT by self preparing.

Hi,
For NIRMA Institute the cut-offs are generally above 90% and experience is also counted in years not just months. See the link below. To score within the 80 percentile on the CAT you'll need a scaled score of 91 (out of a maximum of 300). This translates to 31 questions but only if you answer every single question you attempt correctly. https://www.shiksha.com/mba/cat-exam-cutoff.
