Hello!
With that CAT score, chances of getting admission in JBIMS are impossible since the cutoffs are generally very high. You can try in the other colleges like Jaipuria, BIMM, ITM, etc.

MAT exam is comparatively easier than CAT Exam, level of difficulty in CAT is more than MAT. Also, MAT fetches penalty of 0.25 for each wrong question but CAT fetches 1/3 or say 0.33 penalty for wrong answer. I hope this would help.

Hi Armaan,
Both MAT and CAT are entrance examinations that management colleges accept. There are several institutes which accept both. Both are fairly popular as well. However CAT is the exam which helps you most and is accepted by the best B-Schools in India. On the other hand MAT is the easier version. Since you have chosen to prepare please focus on CAT only, it covers the preparation for MAT. Talking about the difficulty levels CAT is more challenging and hence bears several advantages over MAT. Well, the CAT exam is usually conducted in the month of November. So, after you graduate, you can write the exam in the same year after waiting for a few months or you can write the exam in 2019 November and the apply for the colleges in 2020. In this way you have the benefit of not wasting a year.
