You have chosen a better option as the future is purely dependent on computers.
to become a software engineer, you must take computer Science group .
Then, you must pursue computer science engineering or IT in your undergraduate courses.
In addition to all these, for a software engineer the programming knowledge is really essential. Almost in all higher secondary education, the programming languages like c and c+ are being taught but that's not enough.
So, you must bring interest in learning other programming languages like java, SQL, etc.
