 Yes, you can take maths as an elective subject in DU if you're not maths student. It maybe quite difficult for you and I suggest you go for that subject which you were studied in your 12th class so that it will be beneficial for and can make your work more easy and interesting.

As per eligibility criteria of NIET Alwar, student should passed 10+2 examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science with JEE Rank and at least 50% marks. Hence, JEE Mains rank is must here. So, you can not get admission here.

If you're going for Economics (Hons) then maths is compulsory but yes, you can take Economics as an elective subject if you are not a Maths student.

You can apply for this before the declaration of your result because the admission is only based on the entrance exam result of IP as well as in the University of Delhi.

But cut-off for this course is high.
Cut-off for this course is above 90% for general category students.
