A candidate who possesses a graduate degree of the University of Madras or of any other university or qualification accepted by a Syndicate of this university as equivalent theory to and who passes a work experience of a minimum of 2 years in any organisation shall be eligible for admission to a MBA degree full stop the candidate must have a Bachelors degree of at least 3 years duration. The MBA/PGDM course offered in Jaya College of Arts & Science in Tamil Nadu has as admission requirements a pass in TANCET/MAT/ CAT examinations. For the positions of Executive Trainee, the candidates have to be graduates with minimum 50% marks, 45% for reserved categories. Others are then shortlisted for a personal interview and group discussion of their prior experience. Candidates are tested further on academics and work experience before being offered the college's final selection.

A candidate is eligible to join the B.A. programme offered at Bakliwal Foundation College of Arts, Commerce, and Science if he/she has passed their 10+2 qualification from any recognised board of education. A general candidate must have at least 50% aggregate marks, and SC/ST candidates are required to have at least 45% aggregate. Candidates also have to be in line with the requirement set by the college on the subject that the student wants to pursue. Admissions are merit-based from the qualifying examination after which there is verification of documents and payment of admission fees.
