No, lateral entry is only possible in 2nd year after completing diploma. You cannot get admission into 3rd year in any university.

Hello Sandeep,Lateral entry directly into 2nd year of Engineering in colleges in Maharashtra is based on the marks obtained in Diploma exam. One needs to register with DTE of tech education of Maharashtra for seeking admission. It is expected that this process will begin in the month of July. Best wishes to you.

Candidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

The admission in M.Sc botany is through the marks obtained in the graduation and there is no entrance exam for this. You will have to directly apply for this college online on the University website. Good luck.

Hello Ashutosh Kumar,
The procedure is different in different states of India. Some states conduct an entrance exam for lateral admission while some states give admission based on the marks of diploma courses. West bengal government conducts an entrance exam for admission on lateral basis. I am attaching a link that will tell you all about this examination and different aspects of it for admissions. In Maharashtra you will have to fill in the form online available on the website of directorate of technical education of Maharashtra.
