For admission to the UG courses in SIETK, one has to clear the EAMCET every year and must have 45% marks in class XII with PCM conducted by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh for the reserved category 40%. For taking admission in PG courses like M.Tech or MBA ( Various Courses), the minimum qualification required is the obtained percentage in the bachelor's degree as 50% marks for open category students and 45% for the students belonging to reserved category and also the qualified marks for GATE/PGECET/AP ICET (For MBA) examination will be mandatory. All admissions are merit based as per state government scheduled norms.

Siddharth Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIETK) is a Self financing institution which started in the year 2001. It is connected with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur (JNTUA) and recognised by AICTE. The placement cell at Sri YN College is responsible for organizing campus recruitment. In the previous academic year, 85% of the eligible students were placed. Prominent recruiters were from IT and finance, and consulting industry.

Salary packages offered are from 3.5 to 7 Lacs per annum. The highest Package offered was 12 Lakhs Per Annum. The Average salary package of MBA and PGDM programs was 5.2 and 5.5 Lakhs Per Annum respectively.

The distribution of placement as per sector is:
- IT/Software: 40%
- Finance: 25%
- Consulting: 20%
- Marketing: 15%

Many of them are hired by Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Deloitte, etc.

Cut off marks for Sri YN College differ according to the course and category of the applicant. Following are some broader cutoff trends:

- For UG courses:
- EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Entrance Tests): 80 to 120 ranks
- Intermediate (12): 80 to 90 percent marks
- For PG courses:
