Hey Trisha!
It's always good to take up courses you're interested in, be it in NIFT or elsewhere. It gives you good exposure to knowledge and adds to your resume. Don't worry about the placements. It all depends on you and your work. More than 50% of the students apply for jobs off campus.

I would suggest you apply to colleges which have good placements and infrastructure. The universities should also have national/ international collaboration to promote higher education abroad.
