They must complete a three-year diploma in any trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh. In the last round, the JEE Main closing ranks for B.Pharma admission was 476992 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Of all the branches, Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma.) turned out to be the most challenging for admission, with the lowest cutoff rank. The lower cutoff ranks indicate high competition and vice versa.

The admisisons to most courses like BPharma, MPharma, etc. are entrance based in GNIPST. Students need to pass the National level exams like JEE Mains to get into the institute. Limited number of seats & high cut off can make it difficult for students to get into GNIPST.
