For the B.Tech in Information Technology at Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore, the approved intake is 120 seats according to the institute's the latest mandatory disclosure.

Some education portals may show slightly different numbers (such as 129 seats) because they include supernumerary or additional seats approved under specific categories in certain years.

So, if you're asking about the regular approved intake, the answer is:

➡️ 120 seats for B.Tech Information Technology.

The exact CGPA and conditions can vary, so you should confirm the current policy with the admissions or scholarship office before taking admission.

As for whether it is worth joining for B.Tech:

There is no separate JEE Main cutoff for the OBC category at Manipal Institute of Technology.

For regular B.Tech admissions, MIT primarily admits students based on the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) merit list, rather than category-wise JEE Main ranks. The institute does not publicly release separate OBC closing ranks for JEE Main admissions.

If you are applying through a JEE Main score (where applicable in a particular admission cycle), the cutoff is generally published as overall closing ranks, not separately for OBC candidates. Therefore, there is no official OBC-specific JEE Main cutoff available for MIT.

I'd say be curious and get involved from day one. Join clubs, participate in hackathons and workshops, build projects, and don't wait until your final year to start preparing for internships or placements. The more you explore, the more you'll get out of your college experience.
