Your 10+2 certificates and mark sheets must be attested by either your School Principal or a Gazetted Officer. If you only have an internet-downloaded version of your Class XII marks, it must specifically be attested by your Principal to be accepted during the MANET Pune admission round.

Yes. Most documents are required at the time of admission. MANET Pune allows students a grace period for specific paperwork. You are required to submit your Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate within 15 days of your admission. This way, you can ensure that your enrollment in the BTech Marine Engineering course stays valid.

No. MANET Pune policy allows students to benefit from only one scholarship at a time. If you qualify for both the general merit scholarship and the low-income meritorious scholarship, you will receive the single the highest benefit for which you are eligible to ensure fair distribution of financial aid.

Ranking of students for these MANET Pune BTech scholarships is strictly based on academic performance, specifically your Diploma final year percentage. For the low-income category, the institute also checks that your annual family income is less than INR 8 lakh. These criteria ensure that hardworking and deserving students receive financial support for their course.

At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology:

  • Main campus = better faculty, exposure, peer group
  • Stronger placement opportunities
  • More companies + better overall environment

Dera Bassi campus is newer, so:

  • Fewer opportunities comparatively
  • Placements are okay but not at Patiala level

Even in 2020, most top companies and higher packages were centered around the Patiala campus.

So if you have the choice → CSE Patiala > CSE Dera Bassi 👍

Yeah, Thapar does have that board merit route with JEE as a tiebreaker.

For CSE at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, it's quite competitive even through boards.

Rough idea:

  • You usually need around 95–97%+ in PCM to be safe
  • With 93–95%, chances become borderline (depends on year)
  • JEE percentile helps only in tie situations

Cutoffs fluctuate every year based on demand, but CSE is always the highest.

So if your board % is very strong, you've got a shot — otherwise it gets tough 👍
