I think it is not dependent on your rank. It depends on your score of JEE Mains. As you got 42000 rank, so you got almost 80 to 100 marks. But with these marks, you cannot get CSE in general category. If you are an SC or ST category student, then you have a chance. But you can try for other lower rank courses here. So good luck for your future.
Thanks.

Lateral admissions are for Diploma holders.
And in 2nd year, if you score good marks, you get a chance to change your branch (if you are willing to do so).
And if the seats in MBM will be left vacant they will give an advertisement in all the newspapers informing about the vacant seat and for those seats, you can apply.
I hope it helps you.

Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU) offers degree, diploma, and certificate courses to candidates at UG, PG, and PhD level. All candidates who have cleared Class XII from a recognised board with minimum 45% marks fulfil JNVU eligibility criteria for UG courses. JNVU admissions in a majority of UG and PG courses offered at the university are done on the basis of merit. Candidates can fill JNVU application form in the online mode on the official website of the varsity.

Well, the university doesn't have much reputation in terms of placements as such. Also, the 5 year integrated course has been recently introduced in last 3-4 years and still the first batch has to pass out.
The claims as to placements in campus are not really true as none of the recruiters are available as of now for the Law course and not a single student has been placed yet to the best of my knowledge .
Also, you have opportunities which any graduate would have after completing his or her graduation.
Also, a traditional university doesn't have much to offer as such.
You may rather prefer a specialized institute in law for better

IIT Dhanbad is not actually an IIT, it is ISM Dhanbad, the famous institution for mine engineering. IIT Jodhpur is a new IIT as compared to ISM Dhanbad, so no placement data will be available for you to judge which one is better, in this case, go for the IIT that is old and established I.e. ISM Dhanbad
Hope this helps! All the best.
