If you miss the internal exam, they re-conduct internal exam so you can appear in that. But end semester exams are main and if you miss or fail any in any subject in that exam you fail the whole semester and you'll have to re-appear for that subject in next alternate semester. Internal marks are also important as they make overall GPA of the semester.

Each semester grade is indicated as SGPA. The SGPA includes all the internal exam marks and end semester exam including the theory and practicals.

SGPA is calculated by using the formula:

SGPA= (U1G1+U2G2+U3G3+.)/ (U1+U2+.)

Where U1, U2. associated with the course taken by student and G1, G2, . are the grade points of each subject.

At PIMR, direct admission is an option. Candidates must have an overall GPA of at least 50% from college. However, candidates must take the admission exam in order to be considered. A passing grade in 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved groups) is required for admission to UG programmes. Several courses additionally require mathematics as a prerequisite.
