MK University also offers UG, PG, PG Diploma and Certificate courses under Directorate of Distance Education. Madurai Kamaraj University offers admission to M.A. M.Sc. (certain specializations), M.P.Ed M.Ed M.A. and MCA courses on the basis of Entrance Test followed by an Interview. Entrance-based admissions are termed as Category A. Admission to some specializations of M.A. M.Sc. M.Com and M. Li. ISC is offered on the basis of marks in the relevant Bachelors degree. Non-entrance-based admissions are termed as Category B. MK University also offers admission to Integrated (BBA+MBA) and Integrated (B.Tech+M.Tech) courses on the basis of marks in 10+2. Candidates have to appear in the university-level written test followed by an interview to secure admission in M.Phil & Ph.D. courses. GATE/ SLET/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ JRF and other national or state level fellowship holders are exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Test.
