The eligibility criteria for Direct Second Year Admission at TCET for B.E. (Mechanical engineering is given below.
Eligibility : Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

As per the information available in GME April-2020 Prospectus, If you clear the cut-offs (mentioned in the Online Examination Section), you shall receive an e-mail and invite to appear for Personal Interview at either Mumbai or Lonavala. Because you have not get the required cutoff marks in one paper, hence you have no chance to get as seat in GME course.

Lateral entry, you will also have to give entrance tests, that rank/score will also decide your colleges, but a very wide options are open to yoou like MIT etc. You will have to go through the prospectus of the course provided by the college to know more about the admission procedure, eligibility criteria, fees etc.
