Hi,
Candidates are selected based on the scores in written test and previous academic records.
Selection parameters and weightages:
Written Test 70%
Career 30%
Furthermore, if the number of applicants is less than the number of seats then only academic merit is considered during admission. Candidate must be a graduate with Honors in any Humanities/ Social Sciences/ Sciences with 55%.
1 St Phase of admission: April 21, 2019 to May 15, 2019.
2 nd phase of admission May 16, 2019 to June 23, 2019.
3rd phase of admission June 24, 2019 to July 05, 2019.

NIMC offers the following two programs at 12th level as under. There is no detailed information available on college website regarding any entrance. Admission is based on 12th merit.
1. Diploma in Mass Communication, Advertisement & Journalism one year duration. Eligibility criteria is +2 (Intermediate with a minimum of 45 % marks)
2. Bachelors in Mass Communication, Advertisement and Journalism 3 years of duration
Eligibility criteria +2 (Intermediate with a minimum of 45 % marks).

You need to have a good percentage in JEE mains exam as your score is not good enough to get seat in the 1st round of counseling itself. Just wait for the other counseling, where you may get chance of getting admission in particular NIT of your choice.

Dear, it may be difficult to get admission there but don't wait. It's my advice to you to take admission wherever you are getting the seats. Just apply for it. You can also wait for some time to check the cutoff list.
