You have a chance because IGIT cut-off is low as compared to other Odisha government colleges, I am not sure about CS. You can apply and hope for getting it, you have a chance there but wait up to the last round.

Well, it varies every year, as said in the previous answers, it was good in the year 2011,12,13 but 14 was the worst. Again 15 and 16 batches got around 80.85% placement. I belong to the 32nd batch (2017). In our batch placement again fell. Till now, it's only around 50%. The major recruiters like TCS hired only 76 students which used to be above 150 followed by Tech-Mahindra who took 24, and many of the CSE and ETC students recruited by other small IT companies. As far as core sector is concerned, it's Vendat Alumina, Jharsuguda that took 18 students and Bhushan Power and Steel, Sambalpur who took 39 students. JK Papers and Praxair re

Eligible candidates need to appear for the written test conducted by the Sambalpur University. Candidates are selected based on the scores in written test and previous academic records.
Selection parameters and weightages:
Written Test:- 70%
Career:- 30%
Furthermore, if the number of applicants is less than the number of seats then only academic merit is considered during admission. Interested candidates can apply online/ offline with the required information.
