The COMEDK UGET exam is conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). It is conducted for all colleges in Karnataka, not only for CIT - Channabasaveshwara Institute Of Technology. The results for admission in 2025 were declared on 7th June 2025.

Yes, you can gain admission to the B.E./B.Tech programme at Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology (CIT), Tumkur, without appearing for COMEDK UGET. The institute also accepts valid scores from KCET and JEE Main for undergraduate engineering admissions. Additionally, CIT conducts its own entrance examination, the CIT Common Admission Test (CIT-CAT), for students from nearby districts.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts the COMEDK UGET exam. It is conducted for all colleges in Karnataka, not only for the Sai Vidya Institute of Technology. The results for admission in 2025 have already been declared on June 7, 2025.

Based on the last-round COMEDK UGET cut-off, BE in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) has been the most competitive stream to secure admission to over the past three years. The institute also offers a BE in CSE (AI & ML) and BE in CSE (Data Securtiy). COMEDK UGET entrance exam takes place in May. The exam takes place in the first week of May and the results are usually announced in the last week of May. Once the results are announced candidates can apply for admission into the programme. If candidates do not want to secure admission through the COMEDK UGET entrance they can also apply for the CET entrance exam which takes place in April.
