To be eligible for MDS at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, a candidate must have completed BDS awarded by a University or Institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and must have qualified NEET MDS. The MDS course is of three years duration and students are required to qualify the final MDS examination within 5 years. The institute offers MDS in nine dental specialties in full-time mode.

Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences offers a total of 50 seats for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course. This includes 8 seats reserved for All-India Quota students and 42 seats for other students. Admission to the BDS programme is based on the NEET UG exam. The BDS course is entrance-based, and students are required to present NEET scores in order to secure admission to the college. The BDS course is a five-year undergraduate program.

In order to get admission to BDA at Ramaiah University, students need to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Mathematics/ any other elective subject with English. Also, the Marks Obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered for admission to BDS programme. After the Class 12 course is introduced, the integrated courses will be abolished.

The Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS) offers a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree in various specialties.
