About 49 students a year are trained in the nine dental specialties of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Periodontology, Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Oral Pathology & Microbiology, and Public Health Dentistry at Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital. The college offers two to eight seats for each of its specialties. The placement rate at the DY Patil Dental College Pune MDS placements in 2022 was 100%, according to the NIRF report 2023 from the college. Additionally, the placement rate for MDS at DY Patil Dental College Pune during the previous three years has stayed at 100%.
