It is a part time, evening, distance learning or online program generally meant for people with 6 - 13 years of experience. IIMs provide good executive programs, though it is not equivalent to its regular MBA. It does provide a high ROI for the company you work and as an individual.
If you've less than three - four years experience in your line of work, consider going for Distance MBA to pick up some management oriented skill with which you can give a boost to your existing opportunit

Hi Maurya,
This is ideal for professionals who do not want to quit their regular job and still want to add on to their qualifications. Freshers who are starting off in the industry can also benefit from this. With technological advancement, distance learning can be your first choice of study. Depending on the candidate's profile, the kind of opportunities will almost be similar as regular MBA.

Hi Kareena,
Frankly speaking corporate do not consider MBA from distance education program totally equivalent to that done through a regular course. But the big point here the experience part. If you are a fresh candidate without adequate experience then MBA through distance education mode would be termed lesser than that done through regular course.

Hi Swameeka,
Difference between Online and Distance MBA:
- Weekly/Bimonthly classes are conducted for distance MBA candidates. Online programs also have a similar set up.
