The GMCH Chandigarh BSc application dates may vary yearly. Based on the previous year's schedule, the application process is expected to begin in June. In 2024, the application forms were released by the college on its official website on June 21, 2024. The application process continued till July 10, 2024. Aspirants must stay updated with the admission schedule to avoid missing the deadline. Hence, they are advised to visit the college's official website regularly.

GMCH Chandigarh conducts GMCH Combined Entrance Test (GCET) to shortlist applicants for BSc admission. The seats are allocated through the subsequent counselling process based on the GCET ranks of applicants. However, to be eligible for the conuselling rounds, applicants are required to score the minimum qualifying marks in the GCET, which are as follows:
- General/General PwD category: 45% or more
- SC/SC PwD category: 40% or more

Candidates who have qualified in the GCET entrance examination must log in to the admission portal on the official GMCH Chandigarh website to fill out the 'Part II' of the application form. During this process, they must upload the following documents:
- Matriculation certificate showing the date of birth or birth certificate issued by the Government Authority
- Passing certificate of Class 12 or other qualifying examination
- Detailed marks sheet of Class 12 or other qualifying examination

The GMCH Chandigarh's BSc application process is conducted online on its official website. The application form is filled in two parts:
- Part-I: To be filled for appearing in GCET
- Part-II: To be filled by candidates who qualify GCET for appearing in counseling
For filling out the 'Part I' of the application form, candidates must first register on the 'Admissions' page on the official website. After the registrations, they must log in, fill out the application form, upload their photograph, left thumb impression, signature, NOC (for in-service candidates) and pay the application fee online.

GCET is the entrance test conducted by GMCH Chandigarh to shortlist applicants for BSc admission. The exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The syllabus for the exam may vary across the specialisations. The medium of GCET is English only. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The duration of the entrance test is two hours. Interested candidates can apply for the exam through the college's official website as and when the application window opens.
