No, the Union Public Service Commission is a Constitutional body and the candidates should note that the duty to conduct the UPSC exams lies on the state administration. The District Magistrate remain at the helm of affairs for the IAS prelims exam. The candidates should note that UPSC releases its exam calendar one year ahead of the exam. The UPSC exam does not get postpone unless aa national catastrophe.

Yes, the Union Public Service Commission released the official notification for IES 2025 exam in September 2024 but the applications were extended due to the inclusion of IRMS vacancies in the IES 2025 exam. Similarly, the IES prelims 2025 was scheduled to be conductd in February, 2025.
The Commission postponed the IES prelims exam and now the IES 2025 prelims will be conducted on June 8, 2025.

The Union Public Service Commission releases the tentative number of vacancies in the official notification. The Commission also accept the vacancy requisitions till the conduct of the prelims exam. This year, the IES 2025 prelims exam will be conducted on June 8, 2025.
The Commission will release the final number of IES vacancies in the final result notice.

The Union Public Service Commission did not mention the number of vacancies for the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) - technical posts. The Commission is expected to release the final number of IRMS - Technical in the final result notice. The Commission will mention the category-wise IES vacancies in the final result notice.
The UPSC ESE 2025 exam will be conducted in June 8, 2025.

The Union Public Service Commission released the official Engineering Service (2025) notification in September 2024. The Commission notified 232 IES vacancies in different departments. Later, the Commission modified the official notification to include the vacancies of Indian Railway Management Services.
The Commission is expected to release the final number of vacancies in the UPSC ESE 2025 exam in the final result notice.

The Union Public Service Commission has not stated any minimum qualifying marks for the UPSC CAPF AC exam. The qualifying marks are the UPSC CAPF cut off marks which are released along with the results. There is minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks in each Paper of the UPSC CAPF exam and these are fixed by the Commission in their discretion.

No, the CAPF Paper 2 is not qualifying in nature. Candidates need to get into the merit list to get shortlisted for appointment based on their scores in UPSC CAPF Paper 2. The CAPF Paper 1 is qualifying. The CAPF Paper 1 is evaluated first and the evaluation of Paper 2 is done only of those candidates who manage to obtain minimum qualifying marks in Paper 1. Candidates need to obtain the CAPF cut off marks to get shortlisted for next round, PET/ PST.
