Government & Defence Entrance Exam

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services exam. It is a national-level examination held annually to recruit eligible young individuals for various armed forces throughout India. This exam provides individuals with a great opportunity who dream of serving the nation by part of being in the armed forces.
UPSC CDS exam is conducted to select candidates in the following armed forces:

• Indian Army
• Indian Navy
• Indian Airforce
• Naval Academy

• CDS Examination syllabus comprises of three papers – General Knowledge, English, and Mathematics. Mathematics is not asked in the OTA Category. To clear any government examination, one should have complete knowledge about the Syllabus.
  
  
  

The pay scale of officers in Grade A is INR 44500-2500 (4)-54500-2850 (7)-74450-EB-2850 (4)-85850- 3300 (1)-89150 (17 years). The present gross emoluments is INR 1,49,500 without accomodation and INR 1,11,000 with accomodation. The benefits include SEBI’s Contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS),  Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance, Learning Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance, etc. Other benefits include Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, Eye Refraction, Education Allowance, Financial Dailies, Book Grant, Briefcase, Conveyance Expenses, House Cleaning Allowance,  Staff Furnishing Scheme, Scheme for Purchasing Computers, Subsidized Lunch Facility.

SEBI Grade A is an Assistant manager role and candidates work towards creating an environment where it is easy and fair to trade. Candidates will also audit and track individuals who are trading using unfair means. As a SEBI Grade A officer, candidates' job is similar to a data analyst or an entry-level auditor. Candidates are most probably be starting off with back-end office work and they will gradually progress to a position where they will have to deal with people a lot.

As an RBI recruit for the Grade B position, candidates will have a managerial role and they will have to execute policy decisions handed to them by the senior management. Hence candidates initially not be part of any policymaking or assist in the policy creation process until they reach Grade D.
