AFCAT 2 application form 2023 was made available on June 1, 2023. Interested candidates could fill the application form online till June 30, 2023. Candidates who have applied for AFCAT 1 2023 exam could also apply for AFCAT 2 2023 exam. The application process comprises several steps such as registration, changing the password, filling the detailed application form, paying the application fees, etc. Candidates should fill the details in the application form carefully to avoid any rejection in the application process. The steps to fill AFCAT 2 application form are given below:

• Visit the official website of IAF
• Go to the ‘Candidate Login’ on the home page of AFCAT
• New users need to register for the exam by entering the required details
• Two separate OTPs will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile numbers of candidates
• After verifying the OTPs candidates can proceed towards filling the application form
•  Before filling the application form, candidates should read the notification carefully
• In the application form, candidates need to enter personal details, course preference, communication details, select the exam centres, upload the documents, sign the declaration and submit the application form
•  After successfully filling the application form, candidates can pay the application fees
• Take the printout of the application form and receipt of the transaction receipt

The detailed AFCAT 2 notification 2023 was released on June 1. The short notification was made available on May 22, 2023. AFCAT 2 notification 2023 was released for courses commencing in July 2024. The notification is released in PDF form on the official website of IAF. The notification comprises all the important details related to the exam. Being one of the most sought-after exams, large number of students appear for it to enter the reputed Air Force Academy. To ace the exam, candidates need to follow the proper preparation strategy. Candidates are clearing the exam are selected as Gazetted officers in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches.

No, NDA cut offs are the same for all armed forces - Army, Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy. The cut off for the written exam is calculated out of 900 marks. Moreover, candidates are also required to secure the sectional cut off marks in the exam. Candidates need to secure separate cut off marks in the written exam and final selection. NDA Cut Off is released after completion of the NDA exam along with the NDA Result. NDA cutoff is will be released separately for the written exam and the final selection. The written exam cutoff is calculated out of 900 marks. The last selected candidates' scores are used to determine the final selection cutoff, which is based on their performance out of 1800 marks (900 for the written exam and 900 for the SSB interview).

NDA 2 cutoff for the written exam in 2021 was 355 whereas it was 726 for final selection. The final selection of candidates for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA was done based on the written exam and SSB interview. NDA cut off for the written exam is calculated out of 900 marks. The last selected candidates’ scores are used to determine the final selection cutoff, which is based on their performance out of 1800 marks (900 for the written exam and 900 for the SSB interview). Candidates are required to secure 25 per cent in each subject. It is mandatory to secure the cut off marks inorder to qualify the exam by securing the separate cut off marks in the written exam and SSB interview. Candidates based on the performance in the written exam and SSB interview are called for admission to National Defence Academy. 

In case, candidates wants to make changes in their OTR profile, it can be done only once in the lifetime after the registration at the OTR platform. The change in OTR profile data is available till expiry of 14 days from the next day after the closure of application window of the first final application for any examination of the commission. The steps to modify the OTR profile are given below:

• Visit the official website of UPSC
• Go to the 'Modify OTR profile' link on the home page
• After logging, candidates can modify the details entered in the application form
• Candidates can change the details entered in the OTR profile 
• Candidates need to save the details after modification

Candidate should also have details of one photo ID such as Aadhar Card/ Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/School Photo ID/Any other photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government while filling the application form. Besides photo-identity proof, candidates are also required to upload their scanned photographs and signatures. Candidates need to bring the same photo-identity proof along with the admit card to the exam centre for appearing the written exam and SSB interview. The photo-identity proof that candidates upload during registration is used for all future reference by UPSC.The application form needs to be filled online only.  Candidates must have their photographs and signatures duly scanned in the .jpg format in such a manner that each file should not exceed 300 KB each and must not be less than 20 KB in size for the photograph and signature. Candidates scan their photo-identity proof in PDF only. The size of the PDF file should not exceed 300 KB and must not be less than 20 KB.
